Opportunity is knocking for No. 73 in our Roster Review series.
Redshirt freshman Xavier Truss has a chance to be one of the beneficiaries of playing time with Isaiah Wilson and Andrew Thomas moving onto the NFL.
Truss wasn't the most highly-recruited offensive tackle last year, but he impressed enough as a member of the scout team to put himself in the running for considerable playing time come fall.

2019 Review
Truss was considered a project by many, but he started to turn heads as the season progressed.
The Rhode Island native ultimately played in three games for the Bulldogs, seeing action against Murray State, Arkansas State, and Georgia Tech.
Truss saw a season-high 22 snaps against the Racers, followed by 16 the following week against Arkansas State.
That would be the last time Truss would see the field until the regular-season finale against Georgia Tech, when he was in on six plays.
2020 Preview
Truss projects as a tackle, and is expected to get most of his looks on the right side, as a potential replacement for Wilson.
Talk about some big shoes to fill.
Just don’t sell him short. The coaches like Truss's work ethic. His footwork and hand placement are two areas that will need to improve, but he and Warren McClendon are the early favorites for the starting job.
His battle for that job is expected to be one of the key competitions to watch.
