The first day of spring always brings with it plenty of injury updates.

Tuesday was no different, as Georgia head coach Kirby Smart provided updates on a handful of banged-up Bulldogs.

Smart began with the players who will miss spring practice.

Offensive lineman Monroe Freeling, outside linebacker Gabe Harris, defensive lineman Christen Miller, defensive back Jaylan Morgan, and tight end Colton Heinrich will all miss the spring after undergoing shoulder surgery in the offseason.

Other players out for spring include quarterback Ryan Montgomery (ACL), running backs Branson Robinson (PCL) and Roderick Robinson (ankle), and punter Brett Thorson (knee).

Smart noted that some of the players who are out for spring could be available for things like walkthroughs, but will not be cleared for actual practice.

As for other injuries, Smart noted that corner Daylen Everette and defensive lineman Joseph Jonah-Ajonye will be limited this spring. Everette is recovering from an operation to repair a sports hernia, while Jonah-Ajonye had foot surgery.

Georgia hits the field for its first practice of the spring on March 11.
