One of Georgia’s key true freshmen – defensive end Isaiah Gibson - suffered a concussion in practice on Thursday, UGASports was told.
The severity of the concussion is unclear, but we are told he will be held out for a few days as a precaution. Another source said it happened in a collision on special teams practice.
A former five-star performer, Gibson was the nation’s 13th-ranked overall player and No. 2 defensive end in the country last year.
As a senior, Gibson helped lead Warner Robins to a 7-4 record and a spot in the Class 4-A state playoffs.
Gibson’s junior season saw him collect 17 sacks.
