Draft week is upon us as the NFL ventures into the virtual world to keep its annual player selection process as scheduled. We now turn our attention to Jake Fromm, the three-year starting quarterback for the Bulldogs.
First, though, think back to where Fromm was after the season's first five games, and after the victory against Tennessee. At that point in the season, Fromm was the highest-graded quarterback in the FBS, and I wrote for PFF how he had turned around some negative narratives from the previous season. He had taken a leap in accuracy and was delivering our highest-graded throws, like the one below, on a much more routine basis.
Then the South Carolina game happened, Lawrence Cager went down and was in and out of the lineup, and Fromm's accuracy went to the way of a coin flip. What does his inconsistent 2019 mean for his draft stock? Probably a little less than you might think.
As before, our own Patrick Garbin takes a look at where Fromm is going in mock drafts, ESPN's David Pollack gives his thoughts, and I provide the PFF data and a prediction.
