Georgia’s basketball team added a key addition to its roster Thursday with the addition of Cal transfer Jeremiah Wilkinson.

A 6-foot-1 combo guard, the native of Powder Springs earned the ACC 6th Man of the Year Award after 15.1 points with 1.5 assists last year for the Bears. He shot 39.9 percent from the field, 32.1 percent from 3-point range.

Wilkinson scored 20 points or higher 10 times during his freshman season, including a season-high 36 against Notre Dame in a four-overtime loss to the Irish in the ACC Tournament.

He also scored 30 points in a league game against Miami.

Wilkinson joins a Bulldog backcourt that currently includes Blue Cain, Savo Dregzic, and Jordyn Key.

Georgia recently lost Silas Demary Jr. and DeShayne Montgomery to the transfer portal, and also Dakota Leffew and Tyrin Lawrence, who used their final year of eligibility.
