Georgia has landed one of the top in-state prospects in the 2025 class.

Justus Terry committed to Georgia on Monday afternoon. The 6-foot-5, 260-pound defensive lineman from Manchester, GA, is ranked as the No. 73 overall prospect in the 2025 class.

Terry first gained notoriety last summer for a viral tweet showing his impressive size.

Georgia offered Terry on June 2, 2021, before he had ever taken a snap as a high school player. Since then he has become a one-man wrecking crew for Manchester High School. Terry visited Georgia for the Auburn game on Oct. 8.

Defensive line coach Tray Scott has been the main one pursuing Terry.

"He’s a coach with a high energy level. He’s always at it. Work, that’s all he knows," Terry told UGASports earlier this fall. "He likes my size, my work ethic, how I’m always about work and business. He likes my personality."

Kirby Smart has been building a relationship with Terry as well.

"He’s a laid-back coach. He understands where all the players come from. From down South to anywhere, he understands where players come from. He always sits and talks to you," Terry said. "It’s just always chill. It’s about what I do outside of school, what type of person I am, do I go around and help the community, am I a caring person? It’s not always about football. It’s about personality and being a good young man."

Terry returned to Athens for the national championship celebration on Jan. 14. That visit proved to be the final straw in securing his commitment.

Terry is Georgia's third commitment in the 2025 class, joining linebacker Jadon Perlotte and running back Jabree Coleman.
