Walthour wants a Georgia offer

ORLANDO -- Liberty County has pumped out some really talented football players in recent years, including one of Georgia's top 2017 signees, Rivals100 safety Richard LeCounte.

The Bulldogs might be going back for one of his teammates in the 2018 class, defensive tackle Tramel Walthour. The three-star prospect had 65 tackles as junior with 12 of them being for loss.

"I talk with some of the coaches and they tell me to come up to campus," Walthour said. "I like it up there. I've been up there three or four times for football games. It's nice. They want to see me at camp."

Walthour plans to see if he can convince the Georgia coaches to extend an offer this summmer.

"I'm planning to go up there for their camp this summer to see what I can do," Walthour said.

UAB, Wake Forest, Central Michigan and Mercer have already offered. For the Georgia native, a Bulldog offer would be a game-changer.

"It would mean a lot because it's the home state and it's my dream school growing up. I just grew up a Georgia boy and rooting for them. If they offered, I'd be extremely blessed. Georgia, Clemson and South Carolina or Florida are the schools I'd like to hear from."
