Transfer Tracker: Adrian Martinez hits portal

The transfer portal never stops grinding. After a few weeks of speculation, Nebraska quarterback Adrian Martinez, who had started 38 games for the Huskers, officially entered the portal. He is a veteran signal caller that quickly received plenty of interest.

Recruiting: Martinez had been committed to Tennessee, but a coaching change in Knoxville and the arrival of coach Scott Frost at Nebraska quickly changed everything. Two weeks after taking over in Lincoln, Coach Frost got his man with a commitment from Martinez in mid-December.

At Nebraska: Starting 38 of the 39 games that he played at Nebraska, Martinez finished his Husker's career by passing for 8,491 yards, 45 touchdowns and 30 interceptions, while completing 63.5% of his attempts. He also rushed for 2,301 yards and 35 touchdowns.

Potential landing spots: While several schools immediately reached out to Martinez, such as Cal, UCF and Louisville, the one to watch here is Kansas State. Manhattan is only 2.5 hours from Lincoln, and more importantly, Martinez' girlfriend is a player on the Wildcat's soccer team. UCLA is also a team to watch here.

Farrell’s Take: Martinez always had talent and the ability to extend the play which is why he was a Rivals100 kid coming out of high school. He started off well at Nebraska but regressed and was up and down for most of his career. He's a great fit for an offense that gets the ball out fast and will allow him to use his legs. He has connections to K-State and would be a good fit for that offense and the Big 12 but he will get a ton of interest.
