Will Curtis take his official visits?
Now that five-star quarterback Jared Curtis has taken his final two unofficial visits, the question remains whether Georgia and Oregon will get official trips from the blue-chip prospect.
Jed May provided the latest following Curtis' visit to Georgia this past weekend.
"Five-star quarterback Jared Curtis wrapped up a multi-day unofficial visit to Georgia on Sunday," May wrote. "That visit followed a trip to Oregon, Curtis' other finalist, last weekend. Official visits are scheduled for both schools, but the question remains if this recruitment will actually make it that far. There's also a chance Curtis decides to commit in the next few weeks and head into the summer on board with his school of choice. There is then the chance that Georgia has gotten the final visit for its top quarterback target?"
Hughley visits Georgia
Class of 2027 quarterback Kharim Hughley took a trip to Georgia after receiving an offer from the program recently.
During the visit, Hughley said he spoke to head coach Kirby Smart, offensive coordinator Mike Bobo and offensive analyst Brandon Streeter.
"I really like UGA. I like the way the players are coached up," Hughley said of the visit. "I got to build my relationship with Coach Bobo and Coach Streeter. And overall, I just had a good time."
Linebackers ready to step up
With Smael Mondon off to the NFL, CJ Allen and Raylen Wilson will be counted on for bigger leadership roles at linebacker. That's something that these two players are well aware of, especially with their experience in the program.
“Oh, it's definitely a blessing just being one of the older guys in the room, coming from being a younger guy,” Allen said. “It feels like it came fast, you know, you're just trying to lead those guys in the room and lead a team.”
“We try to lead by example, but you've got to be vocal as well,” Wilson said. “That's the main part we're improving on, being more vocal with others and pulling everybody along.”
