Spring camp has wrapped up, and we are going through practice video provided by UGA. The media isn't allowed to shoot video during the open periods, so this is one way our readers can see practice snippets for themselves.
Previous spring video recaps:
Quarterbacks
Running Backs
Wide Receivers
Offensive Line
Defensive Line
Georgia's offensive line is the position group most often receiving national praise from pundits. Yet, the depth and talent at outside linebacker almost rivals the wealth of riches at offensive line. You often hear about teams having to find creative ways to hide a weakness; Georgia must find creative ways to get more of these talented linebackers on the football field.
Azeez Ojulari
Ojulari wowed Georgia coaches in Sugar Bowl practice with his effort and tenacity. As he came off his injury, Ojulari has moved up the depth chart.
Adam Anderson
Anderson showed flashes of brilliance in 2018. His speed and length enable him to disrupt a quarterback's pocket or catch running backs in the flat. He is a nice fit for Lorenzo Carter's role from the 2017 season.
Nolan Smith
The heavily ballyhooed freshman seems too talented to keep off the field. He has great football instincts and is a natural athlete. Smith could become a vocal leader for Georgia on and off the football field.
Robert Beal
Robert Beal played in 11 games last season and was one of the few Georgia players to have a good showing against LSU. He finished 2018 with 15 tackles. The former 5-star prospect must become more explosive to create Kirby Smart's coveted havoc plays.
Brenton Cox
At 6'4, 245 pounds, Brenton Cox is a big and athletic playmaker. He recorded a career high with six tackles in the Sugar Bowl. He is an ideal hybrid to line up on the edge of the defensive line.
Walter Grant
Known for his aggressive tackling, the former Cairo Syrupmaker was one of three UGA players honored for versatility at the team's annual postseason gala.
Jermaine Johnson
The transfer linebacker was a stud in spring practice, often receiving praise for his ability to disrupt the offense. He is 6'5 and 240 pounds. His quick first step should help limit big plays from opposing ball carriers.
