Spring camp has wrapped up, and we are going through practice video provided by UGA. The media isn't allowed to shoot video during the open periods, so this is one way our readers can see practice snippets for themselves.

Previous spring video recaps:

Quarterbacks
Running Backs
Wide Receivers
Offensive Line

Often regarded as a position of need for Georgia, the defensive line offers a blend of experienced veterans and talented youth. Kirby Smart has often talked about havoc plays and increasing pressure on opposing quarterbacks. Both of those endeavors require improved play along the defensive line.

A couple of players were either not featured in provided video or were injured during spring football.

David Marshall

The senior from Thomaston looks to rebound after an injury plagued 2018. He is quick off the ball and is a bit smaller than most of the lineman position group.

Michael Barnett

Barnett got his first career start versus Georgia Tech last season. At 6'4 and 304 pounds, he is a valuable asset especially in run defense.

Devonte Wyatt and Jordan Davis

Georgia's defensive line improved mightily as Jordan Davis (99) entrenched his starting role at nose tackle. He missed the Sugar Bowl due to injury. Devonte Wyatt (95) stepped in and had a solid performance. Wyatt had seven total tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss.

Tyler Clark

The rising senior from Americus is coming off an underwhelming statical season compared to his sophomore campaign. He did record five tackles versus Alabama and Texas to end the season. Clark is quick on his feet and proved to be a good tackler in the flat versus option and screen plays.

Netori Johnson

The converted offensive lineman now has a spring's worth of experience with defensive coaches and drills. Johnson (72) appears to be behind Jordan Davis and Devonte Wyatt on the depth chart.

Others:

Malik Herring and Julian Rochester were not featured in provided video. Rochester did not participate in spring football because of injury. Both should be contenders for heavy playing time in 2019.
