HOOVER, Ala. – The wait for incoming freshmen Robert Beal and Devonte Wyatt continues.

According to head coach Kirby Smart, the pair is still working on being qualified, but so far, the duo is not able to enroll.

But he hopes it won’t be long.

“They’re not ready to come in yet,” Smart said Tuesday. “We think we could get them in any day, any minute. That’s the hope.”

A four-star linebacker according to Rivals, Beal graduated from Peachtree Ridge after playing two years at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.

Wyatt is a former three-star performer from Towers High, who coaches hope will provide depth to the defensive line.

“We talk to them a lot about staying in shape, because they are not there with our guys working out,” Smart said. “Those guys, they are encouraged to do it, although it’s hard to oversee it. You want those guys working out and in shape so when they do qualify, they can come in and help.”
