After a run on the in-state stars, the Bulldogs have added an out-of-state prospect to the fold as the nation's No. 196 overall player, Elijah Jeudy, announced his commitment to Georgia on Sunday.

The announcement was carried live and exclusively on Rivals.com

Jeudy, a 6-foot-2, 230-pound rising senior fromPennsylvania's Northeast High School, ranks as the No. 7 weakside defensive end in the Class of 2021.

"Coach [Dan] Lanning and Coach [Kirby] Smart really think I can be an impact player there, and they're not just saying it. They're showing me," Jeudy said of the Bulldogs in early March. "I want to go where I can be developed into the total package. I have really been doing my homework on their program, and I like it."

Georgia's seventh commitment for the rising senior class, Jeudy was admittedly intrigued by the path of some hometown heroes.

"[D'Andre] Swift and [Mark] Webb have set the bar high for Philly, so if I did go there I'd have some high expectations that, I know with hard work, I could meet," Jeudy said.

The Bulldogs also sought to carve out a strong relationship with Jeudy's family, one that has stuck with his father, Cliff.

"It's kind of like we went through the whole interview process, too, because Lanning told me straight up, 'Just because you have a kid that fits the program, you got to make sure the parents, everything fits the program, too.'" Cliff Jeudy told UGASports last week. "Georgia is a hell of a place to land."

Jeudy's commitment becomes Georgia's first at outside linebacker in the class.
