The 21-year-old Perez was arrested by Athens-Clarke County police and booked into jail at 4:13 a.m. and released at 5:36 after posting a $2,000 bond.
Perez, who has played in three games for Georgia this year, is expected to be suspended for Saturday game at Georgia Tech and the Bulldogs' bowl game.
"His actions were not acceptable standards of behavior and he'll pay a price for his poor
judgment," head coach Mark Richt said.
He is the 11th Bulldog arrested this year for various charges, the latest being defensive tackle Brandon Wood who was suspended two games after his arrest in October.
