Georgia fans have known the name Brandon Wood for a while now. Wood got an early offer from Georgia in 2005, then he quickly committed and the rest is history. Days before he packs up his belongings and moves to Athens, UGASports.com sat down with him for this exclusive interview. He talks about academics, his tough senior year, how playing for Georgia was a dream, and much more.

After committing to Georgia in February of 2005, Wood quickly got to work on his academics.
Committing early may have been the best thing Wood could have ever done.
Odds were against him at that time when talking qualifying for the University of Georgia, but Wood got focused and beat those odds.
Giving Georgia his verbal commitment was "very easy" for Wood, but he would have liked to have seen a few more schools and enjoyed the process a little more.
But, Wood knew what he had to do if wanted to be in red and black in the fall of 2006 and he took care business.
He became a fan favorite as the Bulldog Nation knew Wood was really fighting and pushing himself academically.
The news hit UGASports.com about three weeks ago that Wood had the needed GPA and ACT to attend UGA.
It was really a great story to follow.
Wood sat down with UGASports.com for this exclusive interview just days before he moves from Buchanon (Ga.) to Athens.
We go all the way back to when he got his offer and talk about the early commitment. We take you through his academic hurdles he had to get over this year. He talks about his dreams of being a Bulldog and how his mom is crying happy tears for him as he gets ready to leave.
You can watch him talk about all of that right here.
We have broken it down into four segments and put the subjects of each section beside the link.
Here you go. I hope you enjoy.
PART I - Wood talks about his early commitment to UGA, how easy it was, who his favorite Bulldog is, when he knew his dream or playing for Georgia one day could come true, and more.
PART II - Wood goes in depth about how hard he worked to get academic qualification. He also talks about his current weight, what UGA expects from him when he arrives.
PART III - Wood talks about his freshman goals, expectations, how he thinks he'll feel before that first game, what he thinks he'll do before the season opener, how he beat Andre Smith and Carl Johnson at the NIKE Camp last spring, and more.
