LOS ANGELES – Defensive lineman Jonathan Ledbetter said he’s returning for his senior year.

The former Tucker standout made the announcement during Friday’s press session to preview Georgia’s Rose Bowl date on Monday against Oklahoma.

“Honestly, I think I want to stay ,” said Ledbetter, confirming what is obviously great news for the Bulldogs, who now will apparently only lose the graduating John Atkins off its current defensive line.

"I think it's just best for me and my family and I hope a lot of other guys decide to stay the course," he said. "I feel we have a chance to do it again and I believe everybody else does."

Recently, defensive tackle Trenton Thompson announced on Instagram that he will be returning for his senior year.

Ledbetter is having a solid junior campaign for the Bulldogs, having started 10 of Georgia’s 13 games, with 29 tackles and one sack.

He’s also got 3.5 tackles for losses of 9 yards.
