Georgia held its 15th day of fall practice on Wednesday and starting cornerback Malkom Parrish was nowhere to be seen.

Bulldogs officials had no immediate comment on the status of the former Brooks County High School standout, but sources tell UGASports.com that Parrish suffered an injury to his foot during practice earlier this week.

It’s unclear how much time Parrish will miss, but it appears he could miss a couple games, as we expect him to be out two to four weeks.

A two-year starter, Parrish has started 25 games over the past two seasons, making 108 tackles, with four career interceptions and 13 pass breakups.

With Parrish possibly missing the first two games, defensive coordinator Mel Tucker will have to decide who to pair with starting cornerback Deandre Baker for the remainder of the practices heading into the opener against Appalachian State.

One option would be to move safety/star Aaron Davis over to corner, where he has played over the course of his career.

Another option could be sophomore Tyrique McGhee, while freshmen William Poole, Ameer Speed and Eric Stokes could also possibly get a chance.
