Hockman decommits

For the third time since Mark Richt's departure from Athens, the Bulldogs
have lost a commitment.

Class of 2017 quarterback Bailey Hockman of McEachern (Powder Springs,
Ga.) reopened his commitment on Monday morning via Twitter.
Hockman, who committed in mid-June during Georgia's seven-on-seven camp, was a
primary target of the previous regime, particularly Brian Schottenheimer.
Schottenheimer's first call upon hiring in Athens was to the junior.
Speculation about Hockman's status had been heard since October, and it is
believed that the North Carolina Tarheels, which hold a commitment from his
teammate and close friend, Tyler Smith, may become an instant player for
his services.
Hockman is a four-star pro-style passer and the son of McEachern head coach Kyle
Hockman.
