UGASports.com received an interesting email today, and while it is not known how

this could have happened given the sender's paw size, we received the message

nonetheless.

Hairy Dawg, who you all know as the UGA mascot with moves better

than John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever, needs the Dawg Nation's help. Hairy

needs your help. The good folks at the Capitol One Bowl (formerly the Citrus

Bowl) have an online poll going in which fans are asked which college has the

best mascot.

Now, we all know that UGA VI could take this competition paws down, but Hairy

needs your help. So much so, that he sent us an email asking. Here is what he

said:

Dear Mr. Patterson,

Is there any way that you could encourage users on your website to

log on and vote for Hairy Dawg as National Mascot of the Year at

www.capitalonebowl.com? Right now, Hairy is in 4th place behind

Brutus

Buckeye (Ohio State), Cocky (South Carolina), and Aubie (Auburn)...

Not to mention that Albert (Florida) is moving up fast at the 5th

spot. Just so you know, you are allowed to vote once a day from each

computer. The voting will last until Dec. 22nd. I'd appreciate your

support for your favorite mascot!
