Georgia secret has caught Bulldogs attention

One of the best-kept recruiting secrets in the state of Georgia is a junior running back that plays at East Hall High School, but he may not stay that way for very long.
Jamond Witt is a 5-foot-10, 165 pound playmaker that totes the ball for an average of 11.2 yards per carry. Witt can also catch and has racked up the receiving yards when opposing defenses stack the box to take away his running lanes. His speed has manifested in 230 kick return yards including a 90-yard punt return for a touchdown.

Witt will not be flying under the radar with those types of numbers, nor will visiting a major SEC school help to keep his profile low.
UGASports.com recently caught up with Witt after his visited the University of Georgia to see how his season was progressing and to see what he thought of his time in Athens.
"Our season is going great so far and we are doing a lot better than we usually do so far," the speedster replied.
Witt considers himself a versatile back that enjoys one aspect of the game that is not often heard out of running backs these days but will most certainly prove beneficial to him at the next level.
"I think I am more of a speed back," Witt said. "I usually like to make a cut against a defender to get my way up field but if I have to I am not afraid to make contact. My favorite part of playing running back is blocking."
Witt is hearing from two schools, Clemson and Georgia, right now but that is sure to change after his performance against the third ranked team in the state. Against powerhouse Elbert County, Witt had rushed for 130 yards by halftime.
This past weekend Witt visited Athens to take in the Vanderbilt game as well as the campus. Witt also got to speak with his possible future position coach.
"The visit was fun, I really liked it," Witt stated. "The campus and the game were really neat. I got to speak with all of the coaches but mostly Coach (Bryan) McClendon. He asked if I would like to play for Georgia someday and I said 'Yes sir.'"
As for the Tigers, Witt says, "I've always liked Clemson but I really just want to find the school that is the best fit for me in the end."
