It was on June 18, 2016 that Lee County defensive star Otis Reese committed to the Michigan Wolverines.

Today, just four months shy of the two year anniversary, the Rivals100 outside linebacker remounced that pledge and opted to join the Georgia Bulldogs.

"Georgia is the home-state school and Kirby Smart and I are building a strong relationship," Reese told Rivals.com’s Chad Simmons last May. "I see where Coach Smart is coming from, I see him trying to rebuild the Georgia program and I like him a lot. I know he can coach and I am keeping my mind and eyes open to Georgia."

That relationship with Smart began when the 6-foot-2, 195-pound defender received an offer from the home-state Bulldogs.

“It’s a great school and I hope Coach Smart gets it going over there,” Reese told UGASports.com in December of 2016. “I’ve been up there plenty of times. They are building a lot of new stuff. It’s a great program.”

Reese ranks as the nation’s No. 56 overall player and the fourth overall outside linebacker in the 2018 Rivals.com rankings.

More to come.
