Kirby Smart’s thoughts on playing true freshmen are well-known. If you’re good enough, you will play. It doesn’t matter your age or level of experience.

We saw that last year when Malaki Starks burst on the scene, starting 14 of 15 games at safety. You also had Mykel Williams who became one of the league’s top freshmen. Did someone mention Brock Bowers his first year on the team two seasons ago?

Anyway, you get the point.

With fall camp getting underway this week, another solid group of freshmen will be looking to make impressions of their own.

Today, we’ll focus on five who I believe have a chance to make a quick impact. This by no means suggests there won't be more than five, but as we sit here today, here are the freshmen, assuming they continue to progress, who could have the quickest path to significant playing time.
