Alonzo plays center in a wing-t offensive and defensive end in a 4-3. He says that he doesn't care if he plays offense or defense at the next level. Sources close to AllianceSports tell us that most schools are recruiting him as a center.
It should also be noted that Alonzo also is the starting center on the basketball team where he averaged 4 points and 7 rebounds per game. He also participates in baseball and track and field.
Alonzo is receiving interest from all Southeastern Conference Schools. He is also receiving mail from Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Michigan, Nebraska, and UCLA. Alonzo is almost certain to garner a scholarship from a major division one school.
Alonzo is an excellent student with a 3.2+ GPA and should easily qualify. He took the ACT for the first time on April 4th. AllianceSports will have a feature story on Alonzo in the coming weeks.
