Whats the going rate for ADs

What's the going rate for athletic directors in the Southeastern Conference? Basically, it just depends on what a university is willing to spend.
When Damon Evans' six-year tenure as Georgia's athletic director officially comes to an end Monday, the wheels will be put into motion to find his replacement.

Sources tell UGASports that Georgia president Dr. Michael Adams will employ a firm to handle the details of what's expected to be a national search, although sources also suggest that several candidates may already be in mind.
Among the names to be mentioned include Georgia grad and Florida Associate AD Greg McGarity, with current Bulldog associates Frank Crumley, Arthur Johnson and Carla Williams among possible in-house candidates.
Whichever route Adams eventually goes, salaries of the league's 10 current ADs (Vanderbilt does not have an athletic department, thus no athletic director) run the gamut.
It's an interesting mix.
According to figures compiled by Bloomburg News Service, Florida's Jeremy Foley is the highest-paid athlete director, not only in the SEC, but in the entire country. Foley's deal with the Gators calls for him to be paid $965,000 which can grow to over $1 million following bonus and other incentives.
Second on that list is LSU's Joe Alleva.
Alleva pulls in $550,000 per year, followed closely behind by Kentucky's Mitch Barnhart ($475,000) and Arkansas' Jeff Long ($450,000).
Evans, whose new contract was scheduled to go into effect on Thursday before Wednesday night's arrest in Atlanta, earned a salary of $420,000, a salary which placed him fifth in the SEC.
Will Georgia's new AD receive a similar deal?
Again, it depends on the route Adams decides to go.
Mississippi State just hired Scott Stricklin as its new AD in April after Greg Byrne took the same job at Arizona. Mississippi State is paying Stricklin $300,000, making him the lowest of the conference's ADs.
Other SEC athletic directors include Alabama's Mal Moore ($400,000), Auburn's Jay Jacobs ($355,000), Mississippi's Pete Boone ($327,400), Tennessee's Mike Hamilton ($314,000) and South Carolina's Eric Hyman ($327,000).
Nationally, other top numbers include Lew Perkins of Kansas ($900,000), Wisconsin's Barry Alvarez ($750,000), Oklahoma's ($700,000), Texas A&M's Bill Byrne ($690,000) and Texas' DeLoss Dodds ($627,100).
Instate, Georgia Tech's Dan Radakovich makes $560,000, the top number in the ACC. Ohio State's Eugene Smith makes $648,000, while Louisville's Tom Jurich makes ($484,900) and is the highest-paid AD in the Big East.
