Amir Leonard-Jean Charles found himself fighting back tears.

After a weekend visit to Athens, the 2025 defensive tackle had just received an offer from Georgia. He followed the Bulldogs growing up in Brooklyn, and now Leonard-Jean Charles held an offer from the defending national champions.

The whole experience overwhelmed the sophomore defensive tackle.

"Just pure excitement, couldn't really think about anything else to be honest," Leonard-Jean Charles said.
