The Georgia coaching staff is looking to get a fourth commitment in the last six days on Thursday as Brooks County defensive back Malkom Parrish is set to decide between UGA and Georgia Tech at 11 a.m. (No Television)

Parrish is one of the hottest recruits in the country after his showing at the Rivals Camp Series stop in Atlanta in April and at the Mark Richt Mini Camp this past Saturday.

Below, UGASports breaks down what impact Parrish's decision will have on the Bulldogs and the 2014 class.

If Parrish chooses Georgia

Should Parrish commit to Georgia on Thursday, it will be the second straight year that the Bulldogs have reeled in the Peach State's top player at cornerback. Parrish is currently ranked as the 73rd overall player in the country by Rivals.com, and as the seventh prospect in the state of Georgia.

The four-star prospect has played most of his high school career at quarterback and safety, but he has emerged as a top cornerback due to his physicality, athleticism, instincts, explosiveness, and confidence.

Parrish is also the type of player that is going to create turnovers. He has excellent hands for making plays on the ball in coverage, but his compact frame and strength make him capable of flying up and creating big plays as a tackler in space.

Also, due to the fact that Parrish is so well developed in his frame at 5-foot-10, 188-pounds, he will be physically ready to play right away and that is never a bad thing.

According to his coaches, Parrish is also a quiet but strong leader. He doesn't talk much and he doesn't say much on the field, but he plays with swagger and is a strong leader by example.

Seeing as how Georgia is in the mix for another prospect in deep South Georgia, Lowndes offensive lineman Dyshon Sims, adding Parrish to the fold won't hurt UGA's chances there either.

If Parrish does not choose Georgia

First and foremost, losing Parrish would force Georgia to adjust its board at cornerback. The Rivals100 talent appears to be UGA's top target at the position, and if he eschews a chance to play in Athens, it would cause the coaching staff to go harder after other targets or extend new offers.

Secondly, losing Parrish would sting a little extra for Georgia and its fans because the Bulldogs would be losing one of the state's top prospects to archrival Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jacket staff has done an excellent job recruiting Parrish and should the South Georgia standout choose to play his college ball in Atlanta, it will not be an easy pill to swallow for the UGA faithful.

Lastly, missing on Parrish would take another top 10 player off the board in the Peach State for the Bulldogs. Now Georgia is in strong position with some out-of-state talent in the 2014 class, but Parrish is a top target and top ranked player in Georgia. He is undoubtedly one that the coaches do not want to miss on.

Prediction

Georgia Tech jumped out to an early lead for Parrish as he made the trip to Atlanta twice before ever visiting UGA. He formed a strong relationship with the coaches on The Flats, and that staff offered him the same day that Georgia did. Before he visited UGA, it would be almost impossible to project him to end up anywhere other than Georgia Tech. But the Georgia staff did get him on campus and things started to change once that happened. The Bulldogs pulled even with the Yellow Jackets, and it seemed as if Georgia took a slight lead when Mark Richt had a 45-minute phone conversation with Parrish during the evaluation period. Georgia was then able to get the four-star prospect on campus last weekend where Parrish said that he enjoyed his time in Athens. The versatile play maker has played his recruitment close to the vest, but UGA appears to be the trending team. Prediction: Georgia
