Slayton surprises with commit

In need of some good news following Saturday's loss to Georgia Tech, Georgia received some Thursday morning when four-star wide receiver/defensive back Darius Slayton verbally committed to the Bulldogs.
Slayton made the announcement at Greater Atlanta Christian High during a ceremony to receive his jersey for the Army All-American Game. He also confirmed his commitment to UGASports.com.

He then tweeted, "First, I'd like to say thank you to every college that has ever recruited me and offered the opportunity to play college football and I wish you the best of luck."
Slayton followed that Tweet with this one:

He chose the Bulldogs over SEC rivals Tennessee and South Carolina.
Slayton becomes the team's 25th verbal commitment and fifth wide receiver to commit to the Bulldogs, joining five-star Terry Godwin along with fellow four stars Jayson Stanley, Michael Chigbu and Van Jefferson.
Much more to come.
