Senior Day Spotlight: Richard LeCounte

This series looks back at some of Georgia's players who are bypassing the bowl game, meaning they have played their final game in a UGA uniform. We relive some of their best plays and note their data accomplishments based on PFF information.

Dayne: Any discussion of Richard LeCounte must begin with his staunch loyalty to UGA. He was the first recruit to commit to Kirby Smart, more than a year early. LeCounte was also a unity builder for his recruiting class. He was a large reason why elite players thought it was cool to go to Georgia. In that sense, he is one of the most important players to ever play in Athens.

Brent: Playing some as a freshman and then full-time until the off-field accident forced him to the sidelines, the senior logged 2,061 career snaps, more than anyone on the current roster. A leader before he arrived on campus, LeCounte's veteran presence and passion will be missed and players like Lewis Cine will be looked upon to take that role moving forward.
