Rivals Spotlight: Quincy Vasser

In a recruiting class brimming with defensive line talent, it can be easy to lose track of who's in the fold and what they bring to the table.
Today's Rivals Spotlight focuses on three-star JUCO defensive end Quincy Vasser , one of six defensive ends currently committed to the Georgia Bulldogs. While he may seem like a face in the crowd amongst higher rated and more familiar prospects at the position, Vasser is the seventh-ranked defensive end in the junior college ranks and comes in as the #36 overall JUCO player in the nation, according to the Rivals JUCO Top100. Vasser is currently playing at Navarro Junior College in Corsicana, Texas, but he'll be heading to Athens in January as an early enrollee. This puts him in strong position to earn immediate playing time on a line losing both depth and experience.
Vasser showcases high motor, an ability to read the play well from the snap, and impressive speed in getting back to the play, especially considering his 6-foot-4, 265 pound frame. The size suggests he'll have the ability to move inside if need be, but his play from the end spot is equally impressive. In Vasser, Georgia looks to have a talented and experienced pass rusher with reps against high level competition and a chance to play early as part of the defensive revamp.
