Georgia Bulldogs (6-3, 3-3) are in Lexington to face the
Kentucky Wildcats (4-4, 2-3). Georgia is coming off a tough October in which
the Bulldogs lost three of their four games.
Under head coach Mark Richt, the Bulldogs are
5-0 against Kentucky and Georgia has won the last nine straight games against
Georgia holds the series edge 47-10-2 all-time over Kentucky.
Dawgs without Adams
Junior guard Chester Adams did not make the trip
to Lexington after re-injuring his high ankle sprain twice in the last week.
Adams took a shot to his ankle in the Florida game last week and rolled the
ankle in practice Monday. Senior Michael Turner will start in Adam’s
place at tight guard for the Kentucky game. Georgia is undefeated this season
when they are missing one of their top six offensive linemen. Daniel Inman
missed the Western Kentucky Game and South Carolina games do to a suspension,
Turner missed the UAB, Colorado, and Ole Miss games because of an ankle sprain,
and Adams did not play against Mississippi State.2nd career start for Dixson
Senior defensive tackle Dale Dixson will start
his first game of the 2006 season against the Wildcats. Dixson is the third
different defensive tackle to start on the other side of sophomore
Ray Gant also
started games at defensive tackle this season. Dixson earned his second career
start and a good performance off the bench in Jacksonville last week for the
Freshman linebacker Darius Dewberry will not
play this week because of a hamstring injury, but he is expected back next week
for the Auburn game. Junior flankers A.J. Bryant (groin),
are all battling injuries heading into the game Saturday.
