Opinion: Too much assumed at quarterback for UGA
There is a presumption around Georgia and its fanbase right now that Carson Beck has been anointed as the starting quarterback at Georgia. Despite lofty expectations, even Heisman chatter, for Carson Beck, Kirby Smart has not named a starter. That is typical of Smart to avoid public quarterback talks.
Here are three reasons why Carson Beck shouldn’t have an assumed spot as QB1, and why Brock Vandagriff and even Gunner Stockton ought to have a real chance to lead Georgia’s offense.
