No. 1 dual threat QB Justin Fields enrolls early at Georgia

Georgia's quarterbacks room just hit the trifecta. For the time being, there will be three five-star signal callers sharing the room with offensive coordinator Jim Chaney.

That’s because the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback, Justin Fields, has reported to Georgia, tweeting the news Friday to confirm an earlier reports by UGASports that he was indeed enrolled in school.

Thursday night at the Under Armour All-American Game, Fields cast some intial doubt whether or not he would be enrolling early.

"I'll decide Friday or Saturday, " Fields said when asked during the Under Armour All-America game broadcast. Fields was in attendance but did not participate in the contest.

But less than 24 hours later, Fields made his decision and is on campus at Georgia. Classes at UGA started on Thursday.

Fields joins fellow five-star quarterback prospects Jacob Eason and Jake Fromm on the Bulldogs roster. Georgia is the first school in the Rivals era to sign back-to-back-to-back five-star quarterbacks in successive recruiting classes.

Fields is not the only early enrollee. Per UGASports' sources, Divaad Wilson, Kearis Jackson, Warren Ericson and Cade Mays are also already enrolled. More Georgia signees are expected to enroll early as well, including Brenton Cox, Zamir White and Jake Camarda.
