The high school all-star Polynesian Bowl takes place this Friday. The game will be broadcast on the NFL Network at 9:00 PM EST. Georgia connections are plentiful in the contest.

Former Georgia head coach and newly elected College Football Fame member Mark Richt is coaching one of the teams. Georgia has a 2023 signee playing in the game: offensive tackle Bo Hughley. Priority 2023 tight end target Duce Robinson is playing in the game as well.

The Class of 2023 is the focus of the game, but there is also an elite 2024 prospect who will be in attendance. Dylan Raiola was the first player invited to participate in the Polynesian Bowl that will take place next January. As such, Raiola will be in Hawaii taking in the events and festivities. Dominic Raiola, the father of Dylan, is also a Polynesian Bowl Hall of Fame player.

Georgia is viewed as the leader for Robinson will the February signing period looming. Southern Cal and Texas are the largest threats to Georgia at this point. Robinson may also be able to compare recruiting notes with Raiola who is being intently pursued by the Dawgs as well. Hughley will get his opportunity to interact with both and will undoubtedly be doing his best to recruit both talented targets to UGA.

Lastly, Richt was the recruiter and coach of former Georgia quarterback Matt Stafford. Stafford played with Dominic Raiola on the Detroit Lions from 2009 to 2014. Stafford and the Raiola family got the chance to reconnect recently out in Los Angeles when Georgia defeated TCU in the national championship game.
