If you've followed Georgia basketball the past week, it should come as no surprise that senior J.J. Frazier is the SEC Player of the Week.

With Yante Maten out with a strained right knee, Frazier put the entire Bulldog team on his shoulders in wins over Alabama and LSU, keeping Georgia in the conversation for a spot in the NCAA Tournament.

All Frazier did was average 28.5 points, 4.5 assists, three rebounds and 1.5 steals in the two victories.

After Alabama cut a 12-point halftime deficit to one with 9:06 remaining, Frazier scored nine of Georgia’s final 12 points en route to the victory.

Frazier was just as impressive against LSU.

The Glennville native connected on nine field goals and dished out eight assists against the Tigers, giving him a hand in 17 of Georgia’s 27 made shots in the game. He also put up 18 second-half points, including the game-winning free throws with 1.6 seconds remaining.

Georgia returns to action on Wednesday night at 6:30 against Auburn in what will be the home finale.
