IN HIS OWN WORDS…

North Carolina, N.C. State, Michigan, Georgia, Miami, South Carolina, and Florida State have been in constant contact with me,” Davis said. “The good thing about me is that I can play at (left) tackle or defensive tackle.

“I need to plan out my official visits,” he said. “Hopefully we’ll take one soon during our bye week (September 2nd). I’m not sure yet but I think it will be somewhere far like Michigan, Miami or Florida State. I want to visit Michigan and Miami the most because I haven’t been there yet. I just want to explore my options.

“The schools I talk to the most are Florida State, Georgia, N.C. State, North Carolina, and South Carolina,” he said. “I have a really strong relationship with coach Scott at Georgia. He came from North Carolina and he was the guy that gave me my first offer. I talk to him every other day. I told him that it’s probably going to slow up since we’re in the season now but I still have love for him.”

RIVALS’ REACTION

Mallard Creek is so talented on the defensive line that Davis played exclusively left tackle in Thursday night’s game at Laurinburg (N.C.) Scotland. He huge frame combined with his quickness and strength make him a very attractive prospect. It will be interesting to see which position Davis will have the most success at and it’s something to keep an eye on as the season progresses.
