Dream School for Sloman

Georgia's roster features one of the top kickers and one of the top punters
in the SEC in Marshall Morgan and Collin Barber, but after this season, both

will run out of eligibility. Therefore, coaches need to find replacements for
the pair in the 2016 recruiting class.
Over the summer, they brought several kickers and punters on campus to show off
their abilities during camps. Sam Sloman (Atlanta, Ga./Pace Academy) was one of
the prospects that made the trip to Athens for camp, but never heard back from
the Georgia coaching staff.
If Sloman continues to perform like he did on Friday night, they might have to
change that. In a 16-14 win over White County High School, Sloman kicked field
goals from 53 yards and 48 yards, the latter of which came in the final seconds
of the game to secure the win for Pace Academy.
If the Bulldogs do come calling, it would be a big deal to Sloman.
"I would love it," Sloman said. "That would be so cool."
Sloman knows a little bit about Georgia's track record with kickers.
"They have had tons of good kickers there," Sloman said. "I know they have had
Blair Walsh, Brandon Coutu and Marshall Morgan right now is really good."
There is a reason Sloman knows so much about Georgia's history of kickers - he's
watched them.
"That's my dream school," Sloman said. "I've grown up a fan of them my whole
life. My whole family went there."
Sloman also attended camps at Chattanooga, Elon, Alabama and Richmond this
summer. No schools have officially offered Sloman yet, but Chattanooga and Elon
have been in contact with him.
