When looking at potential transfers for Georgia football, it’s a safe bet that not many people had Beau Gardner on their bingo card.

But Gardner, who served as the long snapper for UCLA, will have an opportunity to complete for a starting role with the graduation of William Mote.

Mote earned an invitation to the Senior Bowl in Mobile.

Sources tell UGASports that Gardner (6-foot-5, 265 pounds) will be a walk-on for the Bulldogs.

The San Francisco native appeared in all 13 games last year for UCLA, serving as the snapper for all kicks and punts.

Currently a redshirt junior, Gardner will have one year of eligibility remaining, plus a Covid season if he desires.
