What will one program get in Logan Gray?
The Skinny on Gray: Gray is a 6-foot-2, 185-pound dual-threat quarterback that can hurt defenses with his arm and his legs.
He has great pocket awareness and a live arm. When the pocket breaks down or the defense flushes him out of his comfort zone, then watch out, because a big play could be developing.
When people think nothing is there, then that is a time that Gray does a lot of damage. He is creative and will make the most out of an opportunity.
He is not a run first guy like some would think since he runs a sub 4.5 forty-yard dash. He does look to throw first and he likes to go vertical, but he is definitely not scared to make the most of his speed and athleticism.
The arm, athleticism, and knowledge of the position is there, but he also holds leadership skills. Gray has the respect of his teammates and knows how to lead them into battle. His calm, cool, and confident demeanor really shows on the football field when he is in the huddle and under center.
Not only will one of these programs get an impressive quarterback, but they will also get a student-athlete. Gray already has his academics in order and has achieved a test score to make him qualified.
Stats over the last two years.
Gray has thrown for 4,185 yards and 41 touchdowns over his sophomore and junior seasons. He has also rushed for 7 more touchdowns for Rock Bridge.
Gray was selected to an Elite group.
Just recently, Gray received the call from Brian Stumpf of StudentSports.com to let him know that he had been selected as one of the top eleven quarterbacks in the country.
Gray is now a member of the Elite 11 Camp that will begin on July 24 and go through July 27.
The wait will end soon.
Gray will let all the fans know where he plans to line up under center on Tuesday at 2pm eastern time. We are now in crunch time and the time will feel like it stands still.
UGASports.com will keep you posted on the press conference, the rumors we hear, and then the big commitment when it happens.
Will is be Missouri, Auburn, Florida, or Georgia?
