One of Kirby Smart's goals in the 2017 class was to add some size to the secondary.
Mission accomplished.
This morning, Georgia added a commitment from Ameer Speed, a 6-foot-3 cornerback out of Jacksonville, Florida.
"I just got a really vibe from them," Speed told UGASports following his official visit during January. "I could see it being another home for me. I just have to think about this weekend and what I want to do."
The coaching staff played a key role in his decision.
"It's a really good staff and they have a really good vision for this upcoming year and how they want to build the program," Speed said.
Speed chose Georgia over Michigan State, North Carolina, Oregon and Virginia Tech.
