After missing out on Sprayberry (GA) four-star cornerback Jorden Edmonds, Georgia has landed his teammate, four-star safety Kealan Jones.

Jones chose the Bulldogs over Florida, Georgia Tech, Duke, and Michigan during his visit to the Georgia spring game.

Georgia's co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach, Travaris Robinson, fought hard to land Jones. The two have a very close relationship, which helped Jones decide. The four-star safety is also close with Bulldog defensive backs coach Donte Williams.

Jones saw how Robinson and Williams coached during a recent visit to a Georgia spring practice.

"Coach T-Rob is real enthusiastic and energetic, someone who can definitely match the energy of young DBs," Jones said. "Coach Donte, as well, really sounded like he knows what he is talking about and is really involved in the practice. I even saw him with a helmet on during a drill."

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound prospect came on Georgia's radar after a breakout junior season at Sprayberry. The Bulldog staff offered him during a Junior Day visit earlier this year in January.

Jones, a Marietta native, has watched Georgia his entire life because his family is full of Bulldog fans.

"[My] whole family has been [Georgia] fans their whole lives, so this offer really meant something," Jones told UGASports after the Bulldogs offered him. "It definitely meant a lot to them. They've been talking about me going to UGA since I was born."

Jones joins fellow four-star safety Zech Fort as the other defensive back committed to Georgia in the 2026 class, following last week's flip of four-star cornerback Jontavius Wyman to Miami.
