With Teshaun Hightower’s recent commitment, Mark Fox figures to have at least one more scholarship to give for 2017.
So, what might he be looking for?
Apparently, Fox’s net is a wide-ranging one.
“We’re going to look for the best player that we can get,” Fox said before practice on Thursday. “I think as the season moves forward, we will continue to identify the biggest need for our team and try to recruit to our need. But right now, we’re pleased with the kids that are coming in next year, very pleased, and we’ll try to find the best addition we can.”
According to UGASports.com basketball recruiting analyst Dan McDonald, four names who could be on Georgia’s radar include guard Isaiah Miller, forward Derrick Walker, forward PJ Horne and forward Alex Yetna. Bulldog assistants were recently on the road watching two of them, including Yasir Rosem0nd who went to see Miller, while Jonas Hayes checked out Horne.
The Bulldogs signed Rayshawn Hammonds – the nation’s 48th-ranked player – and Nicolas Claxton back in the November.
Georgia graduates seniors – J.J. Frazier, Houston Kessler, Kenny Paul Geno and Brandon Young – all on scholarship.
