Fox lands 4-star Rivals100 forward

It took until November 10 and a day into the early signing period, but Mark Fox and the Georgia Bulldogs are finally on the board with a commitment in the 2017 class. Georgia fans won't mind the wait as this is not just a typical commitment for the Bulldogs. Fox started his class in a big way as he landed four-star power forward Rayshaun Hammonds (Norcross, Ga./Norcross).

Hammonds announced his decision to pick Georgia Thursday afternoon in a ceremony at his school. He chose the Dawgs over offer from Alabama, Georgia Tech, Memphis, Miami, Texas, UConn and many more.

Hammonds, the No. 4 player in the stat of Georgia, took official visits to Memphis and Miami in recent months. He went on his final official visit to Georgia this past weekend. Hammonds had also made multiple unofficial visits to Georgia since the summer.

A 6-foot-8 forward, Hammonds can legitimately play both small forward and power forward due to his perimeter skills along with his willingness to be physical inside. At Georgia, look for him to play mostly at small forward.

Assistant coach Jonas Hayes did the leg work for Georgia as the primary recruiter for the No. 60 ranked player in the 2017 Rivals150.

Hammonds signed and sent in his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday morning so he is already in the fold for Fox.
