Auburn infiltration: It was all a big joke

It was all a big joke.

That’s how Georgia head coach Mark Fox described last week’s moment in the waning moments of the team’s win at Auburn when Tiger T.J. Dunans was seen being invited into the team huddle.

“Actually, we were having some fun. It was very late in the game and we were up double figures. Their kid – to his defense – was trying to listen in – and we actually invited him in,” Fox said during Monday’s SEC teleconference. “We said if you want to listen, come on in.”

The only one who wasn’t laughing was the team’s Director of Player Operations Kent Davison, seen here in the video coming around the side to get the attention of the officials.

During the timeout, Bulldogs Derek Ogbeide and Juwan Parker are seen stepping back and putting their arms around Dunan, but Fox said that was everyone just clowning around.

“We were just having some fun. We were fully aware. If you look at it, Juwan stepped back and I said come on in if you want to listen because there was nothing of substance that I was showing the team,” Fox said. “We were fully aware of what happened and obviously people were having some fun with it.

"We’ve been laughing very hard ourselves.”

Georgia, which beat Auburn 96-84, hosts South Carolina Wednesday night at 7.
