Ward Arrested in Athens

According to the online jail report, redshirt freshman NaDerris Ward was arrested Friday afternoon in Athens by the UGA police department and booked in the Clarke County jail. He was later released after posting $1,000.00 bond.
The two charges were referenced only as "Overtaking/Pass Righ" (sic.) and "License Required".

Ward, who was one of the top tight end prospects in the nation last year as rated by Rivals.com, redshirted last season.
He is the second tight end to wind up behind bars since spring camp as starter Tripp Chandler was arrested earlier this summer for underage possession of alcohol. Chandler played in all 13 games last season as a backup. Richt has yet to hand down the punishment for his offense.
Senior Coleman Watson caught one pass in 2006, and freshman Bruce Figgins also figures into the mix at the position. Beyond that, the Bulldogs have only walk-ons at tight end.
