Leading up to Saturday, everyone was asking who would start at tailback for the Dawgs. In their first offensive snap, their questions were answered when cornerback Branden Smith lined up in a power I behind Aaron Murray.
While he did not see the majority of carries, Smith was able to spark the offense with a few good breaks and a touchdown, while still taking care of his primary job in the secondary.
After the game, Smith talks about playing offense, helping the younger players get a handle on the defense, and what he thinks about true freshman Damian Swann.
