Two Dawgs honored

Trey Thompkins and Travis Leslie picked up post-season accolades Tuesday when both Georgia players were named to the SEC Coaches All-Conference team.
Thompkins, who led the Bulldogs in scoring at 15.8 points per game and was the league's fourth-best rebounder, was tabbed for the eight-man first team while Leslie was named to the second squad after averaging 14.3 points and seven boards per contest.

Georgia (20-10) begins play in the SEC Conference Tournament Tuesday at Georgia Dome against Auburn (11-19). Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. on the SEC Network of stations.
Florida's Billy Donovan earned SEC Coach of the Year honors while senior forward Chandler Parsons was selected SEC Player of the Year.
Kentucky's Terrence Jones was voted the SEC Freshman of the Year award and Mississippi State's Riley Benock earned SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors. Meanwhile, Sam Muldrow of South Carolina was picked as the SEC Defensive Player of the Year while Tennessee's Brian Williams earned SEC Sixth Man of the Year honors.
Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players.
