Trending up for four-star edge rusher

Georgia has made some significant progress for four-star edge rusher Landon Barnes. Speaking with Sam Spiegelman, Barnes said that his recent visit to Georgia was eye-opening.

"I loved it. I can see myself being successful at Georgia. I love how they have a lot of different ways they can use me on defense and develop me to be prepared for the next level," Barnes said.

He added, "I love all the resources they have for the players on and off the field. Georgia’s defense is very versatile. Watching the scrimmage was great and it fit my style of play."

Barnes said he liked what he heard from linebackers coach Chidera Uzo-Diribe.

"The coaches talked about my film and my style of play, and I fit well because the way I play aggressive and powerful," he added.

Anthony Dasher put together a list of what UGASports is hearing about numerous Georgia players this spring. One player making the most of his opportunity is offensive lineman Michael Uini.

"With Daniel Calhoun out with an injury, Uini is getting a long look and apparently has been impressive," Dasher wrote. "He’s considered a strong run blocker, which Georgia certainly needs, though he still needs to develop consistency in pass pro."

Dasher has notes on players such as Gunner Stockton, Nate Frazier, Bo Walker, CJ Allen, Ellis Robinson IV, and many more.
