As Georgia was beating Missouri 53-28 Saturday night, many of the Bulldogs' seldom-used players managed to see some late action against the Tigers.

Quarterback Jacob Eason was not among them.

Why not? Head coach Kirby Smart was asked that question after practice on Tuesday.

"We really just didn't think about it much," Smart said. "There was that last drive, we were handing the ball off, we weren't going to throw the ball, trying to get a first down."

Instead, Smart stuck with Jake Fromm, who enjoyed the best day of his young career, completing 18 of 26 passes for 326 yards and two touchdowns.

In three games this season, Eason has completed 4 of 7 passes for 28 yards, while Fromm has excelled, completing 75 of 121 passes for 1,162 yards and 12 touchdowns.

"I don't think that's a big concern right now. I think given the opportunity to go in and develop and throw the ball, it's different. At that point, we weren't going to do that," Smart said. "We felt like in the Vandy game we could. In that game we weren't going to. So, we let the other guy finish it off."
