Pat Allen decommits

Just a day after Georgia picked up its 26th commitment for the Class of 2015, the Bulldogs are back down to 25 pledged recruits.

He was scheduled to speak with Georgia wide receivers coach Tony Ball on Friday night.
Just decommited from UGA I appreciate the coaching staff and all the opportunities given to me but right now I need to think- Patrick allen (@apatrickallen14) January 3, 2015
And evaluate my options please do not call me or blow up my twitter I need time to think and I want to be left alone until I have a decision- Patrick allen (@apatrickallen14) January 3, 2015
Allen, who is the No. 17 rated offensive tackle and the No. 178 ranked player in
the nation is a huge loss to the Bulldogs, who were already thin at the
offensive line in this recruiting class. The departure of Mike Bobo and
Will Friend to Colorado State didn't help the situation at all, seeing
how they were both his main recruiters.
This leaves only Sage Hardin, the three-star from the Marist School in
Atlanta, Ga., and three-star Devondre Seymour who spent this past season
at Hinds Community College in Raymond, Ms., as the only committed linemen.
This begs the question as to who will take Allen's spot? Right now, no one
stands out, especially since the Bulldogs don't have an offensive coordinator or
an offensive line coach. Filling those two vacancies will be the top priority
for Mark Richt. There is always the possibility that whoever takes the job might
have an offensive lineman recruit follow him to Georgia. Chidi Valentine-Okeke
was the big name that was left for UGA, but he has just recently eliminated
Georgia, and it's now a two-school race between Auburn and Alabama for the
Nigerian-born prospect.
It will be very interesting with only a month left until signing day to see if
the Bulldogs will be able to replace Allen or convince him to reconsider and
ultimately choose Georgia.
