Moreno Named Player of the Week

UGASports named Knowshon Moreno as their Player of the Game Sunday for his electrifying performance against the Central Michigan Chippewas. Moreno Rushed for 168 yards and three touchdowns in route to his second three score game in a row. He also had three receptions for 30 yards, one of them being a 22 yard gain.

Moreno's longest run was a 52 yard touchdown scramble early in the third quarter. After Central Michigan scored a touchdown to start the third, the Bulldogs needed just two plays to respond as

Matthew Stafford connected with Kris Durham for a 4 yard gain. The next play was a handoff to Moreno that saw him stiff arm his way past Chippewa defenders in route to his second score of the day. Moreno averaged 9.3 yards per carry and now leads the SEC in scoring, touchdowns, and total rushing yards. Over the last eight games, Moreno has scored 17 touchdowns.
